To Partners PRESS RELEASE
Petrodar Operating Company would like to clarify the reports in various media which quoted that the company has been understating the production volume produced by the company by 40,000 bbls per day.
The report also mentions that the differences were discovered by the technician during the recent shutdown of the company oil field in RSS. The report also quoted that the company had been trying to increase the production during the shutdown despite the Government instruction to reduce the production level.
Petrodar as an international company and reputable organization owned by international oil companies had been reporting the production volume to the Government accurately and transparently on a daily basis since the inception of the production in 2006 and continues to do so after the secession of South Sudan on 9 July 2011.
Petrodar internal records have shown that the production volume from its field has decreased tremendously from the shutdown activities performed from 22 January 2012 consistent with the shut down plan prepared by Petrodar and agreed with the Government of South Sudan.
We have always operated in a professional and ethical manner in line with international standards and will continue to do so in the future.
